The turkey has been stuffed, served and eaten. There may still be some leftovers in your energy-efficient refrigerator at Mercer Crossing luxury apartments in Farmers Branch, Texas but Thanksgiving is now over and it’s time to start decking the halls and getting into the Christmas spirit.
A fun and free event is the Christmas Tour of Lights in Farmers Branch Historical Park 8 miles away. The tour is a drive-through animated display with over 500,000 lights, holiday music and Santa Claus. Each scene has a different theme from fantasy to patriotic. The Tour of Lights lasts until December 30, but is closed December 5 and Christmas Day. It’s closed December 5 because that’s when the annual Farmers Branch Christmas tree is lit. Santa will be there along with hot coco, children’s activities and fireworks.
Also nearby, the Four Seasons Resort hosts their annual Christmas tree lighting December 2 from 6-8 p.m. Santa Claus will be there along with hot chocolate, cider, egg nogg and cookies. If you want to learn how to make your own egg nogg and other holiday cocktails, the Four Seasons bartender is hosting a holiday mixology class December 3 from 6-8 p.m. Also at the Four Seasons, Café on the Green’s master sommelier hosts the holiday wine experience by pairing wine with holiday dining creations.
May your season be merry and bright at Mercy Crossing luxury apartments.
